The information we process depends on how you use Booty Hunters! Digital.

Discord Account and Activity Information

When you launch or use Booty Hunters! Digital through Discord, we may receive information supplied through Discord and the Discord Embedded App SDK that is necessary to operate the Activity.

This may include:

  • Your Discord user ID.
  • Discord username and display name.
  • Avatar or other basic profile information made available to the Activity.
  • Discord server, channel, Activity instance, or session identifiers when necessary for multiplayer functionality.
  • Information indicating which player or Discord account is participating in a particular game session.

We do not request access to your private Discord messages merely to operate Booty Hunters! Digital.

Gameplay and Multiplayer Information

To operate and synchronize games, we may process information such as:

  • Voyage and game-session identifiers.
  • Multiplayer voyage codes.
  • Player role and Admiral or faction selections.
  • Ships, units, cargo, upgrades, movement, combat results, and other game-state information.
  • Turn order and game progression.
  • Spectator or player status.
  • Multiplayer control or host status.
  • Game events and timestamps necessary to maintain or restore a voyage.

This information is used to make multiplayer gameplay function and to keep participating clients synchronized.

Purchases, Subscriptions, and Entitlements

If you purchase premium content through Discord, we may receive information relating to your Discord entitlement, SKU, subscription, or purchase status.

Discord’s Premium Apps system uses entitlements to indicate whether a user or server has access to purchased content.

When Discord processes a purchase, Discord handles the payment checkout and payment-processing functions. We use the resulting entitlement information to determine which Booty Hunters! Digital features or products you are authorized to access. Discord states that its Premium Apps system handles billing, fraud detection, and receipts.

We do not receive your full payment-card number from Discord.

If you purchase products or subscriptions separately through our website, those transactions may also be processed through WooCommerce and the payment providers offered at checkout.

Website Account Information

If you create or use an account through our website, we may process information such as:

  • Name or display name.
  • Email address.
  • WordPress account identifier.
  • Subscription status.
  • Products or game content associated with your account.

3. Discord Data

Booty Hunters! Digital uses Discord platform services to provide its Discord Activity functionality.

Information obtained from Discord is used only as necessary to operate, secure, support, and improve Booty Hunters! Digital and provide features requested by users.

Discord separately processes information according to its own privacy policies and platform terms. Piratical Productions LLC does not control Discord’s independent collection or processing of information.

4. Multiplayer Information

Booty Hunters! Digital is a multiplayer game.

Certain game-related information necessarily becomes visible to other participants in the same voyage. This may include your displayed player name, selected faction, ships, game actions, scores, cargo, game status, and other information needed to play the game.

Do not use a player name or other in-game information that you do not want other participants in your voyage to see.

5. Cookies and Local Storage

Booty Hunters! Digital and our website may use cookies, browser local storage, or similar technologies when necessary to:

  • Maintain login or authentication state.
  • Remember game or interface preferences.
  • Maintain or restore game sessions.
  • Support purchases or account access.

Some of these technologies may also be provided by WordPress, WooCommerce, Discord, hosting providers, or other services necessary to operate the Service.

Booty Hunters! Digital may offer subscriptions, permanent unlocks, consumable items, or other premium products through Discord.

Discord Premium Apps may provide us with identifiers and entitlement information necessary to determine whether an individual user or Discord server is entitled to a premium feature. Discord supports user subscriptions, guild subscriptions, durable purchases, and consumable purchases.

We use this information to grant, maintain, or remove access to the corresponding game features.

Payment credentials used to complete Discord purchases are processed by Discord and its payment systems rather than being provided to Booty Hunters! Digital.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including operating the Service, maintaining accounts and purchases, resolving disputes, preventing abuse, satisfying legal obligations, and maintaining reasonable backups.

Different categories of information may be retained for different periods depending on their purpose.

Multiplayer game information may be removed or replaced as voyages end, expire, or are otherwise cleared, subject to operational backups and security logs.

Purchase and entitlement records may need to be retained longer to preserve permanent purchases, account ownership, financial records, or legal obligations.

No internet-connected service can guarantee absolute security, and users should protect their own account credentials and devices.

Users accessing Booty Hunters! Digital through Discord must satisfy Discord’s applicable minimum-age requirements.
